Just terrible!

Oh, NO! Not again! That would be the reaction of any sane person who would have heard about the terrorist attacks in two towns in western India. Just two days after the Delhi flower market blast that killed 3 people and injured 23, two more explosions rocked the communally sensitive towns of Modasa in the state of Gujarat and Malegaon in the state of Maharashtra, killing a total of 7 people and injuring 80 8-O

A satellite image of Malegaon . . .

Image: www.weather-forecast.com

In the first instance, similar to the flower market blast in Delhi, motorcycle-borne scum beings dropped a bomb in a crowded market place in the town of Modasa. In the second case, a motorcycle bomb went off in a hotel near a mosque in the powerloom town of Malegaon where 37 people were killed and more than 125 were injured in a blast near a religious place two years ago. While the explosions were low intensity bombs that are different from the sophisticated devices used in the serial blasts, the criminals behind the blasts could belong to the same jehadi terrorist organisations behind the serial blasts intent on causing communal strife or they could be scoundrels belonging to a Hindu terrorist outfit.

Shockingly, India has become the serial blasts capital of the world. Not a week passes without news of bomb blasts in one city or another. Shame on the filthy vermin :-x who blast innocent people to death!

Blast in flower market in Delhi

Damn it! Those scum beings :-x have struck again. Two weeks after serial bomb blasts killed 24 people and injured 100 in different parts of Delhi, a bomb was dropped in a crowded flower market in Delhi’s Mehrauli area, killing a child and injuring more than 20, five of them seriously. Read the latest news here.

The flower market in Mehrauli . . .

Image: http://news.bbc.co.uk

This attack however seems to be different from the serial blasts. Unlike the sophisticated explosive devices used in the horrible serial blasts, this one was a crude parcel bomb without any timing devices. Two filthy scoundrels on a motorcycle wearing black dresses and helmets dropped a bag containing a lunch box bomb. They are believed to have sped away even as they were told that something fell off their motorcycle. An eleven-year-old boy who picked up the bag was killed as the bomb exploded and twenty others were injured in the blast, with some of them receiving serious head injuries

Whether these two vermin :-x belong to the vile Indian Mujahideen terror group  or not remains to be seen. Still, they are filthy barbarians who would stoop to extreme lows to carry out their nauseating acts of terror. Shame on the sordid scum creatures! :-x

Piracy menace: Somali pirates seize ship with Russian tanks

If you thought pirates can be found only in movies and comic books, think again. Somalian pirates are proving to be a dangerous nuisance to the whole world. The latest news is that these seafaring bandits have seized a Ukrainian ship with Ukrainian and Russian crew members that was carrying a consignment of 33 Russian T-72 tanks meant for Kenya.

Somali pirates keep the Jolly Roger flying . . .

Image: Wikimedia Commons

Pirate attacks are common in the waters off the coast of lawless Somalia. The speed-boat-bandits operating in the dangerous waters of the Indian Ocean near the Gulf of Aden capture vessels, loot their cargo and hold the crew members as hostages in their own vessel till they are paid a ransom. The trigger-happy-thugs damage vessels at will and cause enormous losses to the international shipping industry.

(If the video does not load, you can watch it here.)

The modern day Red Rackhams are such a terror that sailors are not willing to deliver food aid to starving Somalians unless the ships are provided with a naval escort. It is time the international community does something about this bunch of buccaneering bullies :-x

The rise of religious fascism in India

In recent months, there is a new plague spreading like wildfire in different parts of India. This vile disease threatens to destroy the very spirit of India, its soul of tolerance :-| The filthy viruses that are causing this disease want to take India back to the primitive times – the scum beings and their covert supporters want to convert India into something similar to Taliban run Afghanistan. The greatest threat that India faces today is the curse of religious fascism :-x

Mobs of uncivilised goons are attacking the helpless Christian minority in different states of India . . . 8-O

Image: http://0-99.com

First, it was savage violence unleashed on thousands of Christians in Orissa by mobs of disgusting thugs. Read this post to know more. The violence in Orissa shows signs of flaring up again 8-O The Kandhamal district in Orissa is worst affected by the heinous crimes of the loathsome scum beings owing allegiance to the notorious Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. They and their covert supporters seem to be determined to destroy Orissa with their hate crimes. These vile organisations are the Hindu equivalent of despicable organisations like the Indian Mujahideen that carry out terror bombings across India.

(If the video does not load, you can watch it here.)

Then the violence spread to other states in India like Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand. All these states have governments run by the right wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the political party which is a part of the umbrella of organisations known as the Sangh Parivar which includes organisations like the Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Sri Ram Sena. The Sri Ram Sena is a new Hindu terrorist organisation that provides training in arms and explosives to the goons, thugs, scoundrels and criminals in its ranks. The government in Orissa is a coalition government in which the BJP is the junior partner. The scum beings belonging to vile organisations like the Sri Ram Sena and the Bajrang Dal are emboldened to carry out attacks on Christians in states ruled by the BJP because they believe the administration will be deliberately slow to respond in containing the violence. In some places in Mangaluru (Mangalore), the police even beat up Christians who were protesting against the violent attacks with lathis (long wooden batons) while they were lethargic in arresting the violent barbarians who attacked and destroyed churches.

When the Chief Minister of Karnataka, B. S. Yeddyurappa, went to meet the Archbishop of Bangalore, Dr. Bernard Moras at his home, he was greeted at the doorstep by an angry Archbishop who expressed his hurt in front of the media at the attacks and the failure of the administration to prevent the attacks. Taken aback, the Chief Minister gave orders to use the Goondas Act (a tough law against goons, thugs and other anti-social elements) against the culprits. Karnataka is one of India’s most progressive states and it is home to a large number of India’s technology industries located in and around Bengaluru (Bangalore). But the despicable goon squads want take India’s Silicon Valley back to the Stone Age with their brand of filthy fascism.

(If the video does not load, you can watch it here.)

Indians would like the world to believe that India is a rapidly developing country. But there are always people with extremely backward, feudal, casteist and communal mindsets who have nothing but hatred in their hearts for India’s minorities. Such people and their covert supporters (even if they claim to be “educated”) who see nothing wrong in horrible acts of violence (including direct and indirect state-sponsored terrorism, brutal repression and heinous crimes) against helpless people are the curse of India and of humanity as well. Such hate-spewing scoundrels :-x have mindsets that would make Cro-Magnons, Neanderthals and even apes look like highly civilised beings. Shame on the barbarians! :-x

Africa, awake, arise and act! (Part 1)

African leaders have warned that the lingering global financial crisis coupled with the collapse of talks on a world trade agreement could hinder the United Nations’ campaign to improve life for hundreds of millions of the world’s poorest.

Africa, despite being rich in natural resources, is the least developed continent in the world . . .

Africa is believed to be the place where modern humans originated from. The continent was home to the ancient Egyptian civilisation along the banks of the Nile as well as prosperous kingdoms and city-states later on. The decline of these African states coincided with the rise of the Arab empire. Africa has suffered ever since.

Africa was exploited and its people were sold as slaves by the local chieftains, first to the Arabs and later to the European powers, led by Portugal, who transported them across the Atlantic to the New World. After slavery was abolished in the Americas, the mad scramble for Africa’s natural resources led to the colonisation of almost the entire continent by the European powers – France, Britain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Italy. They required raw materials for their industries as well as markets for their finished products. The continent became a colony of Europe and boundaries were decided by the foreigners. The disastrous effects of political colonisation can be felt to this day. Many of Africa’s civil wars can be traced to the redrawing of boundaries by the colonisers.

After the Second World War, African countries gradually became independent. The initial hope that Africa would get out of the mess with political independence was short lived as the continent was affected by civil wars, droughts, famines and disease.

Africa became dependent on external borrowings and foreign aid. The economic colonisation of Africa began. Organisations like the WTO, the IMF and the World Bank that were controlled solely by the developed countries led by the United States imposed economic measures as conditions for the delivery of loans and aid. These measures are nothing but plans of the multinational corporations headquartered in the developed countries to exploit the natural resources of Africa. The exploitation of Africa’s mineral wealth by foreign corporations has completely ravaged Africa. Aided by corrupt dictators and inefficient leaders who stash away their ill-gotten wealth in secret foreign (especially Swiss) bank acounts, the people of Africa are being robbed of their natural resources. In 1970, one in ten of the world’s poor lived in Africa. That figure has now risen to 50%.

60% of Africans work in the agricultural sector with a majority of them being subsistence farmers. Globalisation has pushed Africa to the brink of disaster. The loathsome policies of the WTO have increased the misery in Africa. While the African countries have opened up their markets as well as mining and petroleum sectors to foreign corporations, the U.S., the E.U. and Japan protect their farmers with massive agricultural subsidies and high import tariffs. This keeps the price of farm produce artificially low in the developed countries making African exports uncompetitive. Thus, African farmers are forced to grow cash crops for export instead of food crops. Combined with the vagaries of the climate as well as desertification of vast tracts of land bordering the Sahara desert, starvation and severe malnutrition are common in Africa, especially countries in sub-Saharan Africa and the Horn of Africa.

While farmers in a country like India are also at the receiving end of the vile policies of organisations like the IMF that are stridently supported by their shameless stooges within the country (read this post about farmers’ suicides), India’s service sector and to a lesser extent, the manufacturing sector have managed to take globalisation in their stride and have even managed to emerge stronger. As a result, India’s growing economic clout has enabled it to successfully oppose moves by the developed countries to suggest outrageously unfair trade practices at the WTO in the name of “free trade”. India must not sacrifice the lives and livelihoods of millions of its farmers as well as its food security for the sake of a few tuxedoed thugs who belong to predatory multinational corporations!

What about the Dragon? China has taken full advantage of globalisation and has virtually become “the factory of the world”. Cheap Chinese products have wiped out the few manufacturing industries in the African countries. China has also begun to take part in the economic exploitation of Africa. The Dragon wants to import raw materials from Africa, turn them into cheap manufactured goods and dump them back on the African countries. The low quality Chinese goods are suspected throughout the world and the poor standards in China have even led to the deaths of infants due to contaminated dairy products.

Promises of aid are not going to develop Africa. Certainly not! Africans should not trust the rich countries (as well as countries like China and India) as the vile policies of organisations like the IMF, World Bank and WTO will drive Africa to complete destitution. Even if Africa gets some paltry aid, the strings attached to it are meant to favour the economic terrorists who seek to exploit Africa’s natural resources with the help of Africa’s corrupt dictators.
