Priya,
Thanks and welcome to this blog ! Yes,blogging does take up a lot of time and there are other things to do as well. And the frequency with which I am posting articles is decreasing rapidly
But I will do my best to keep it active.
I visited your blog once and posted a comment but it just disappeared
March 12, 2008 at 9:55 am
Raj,
The frequency kinda of depends on our work load, isn’t it?
I am not sure what happened. I might have to use wordpress as blogger is not that flexible.

Priya,
Yes,blogging will have to remain a hobby and a passion for many until the keyboard turns into a cash register
Anyway, the good thing is that we can blog from anywhere,if we have a passport to the global village. And the globe is shrinking as rapidly as its village is expanding
And I have had problems with posting comments on the blogs of other Blogger bloggers as well.

Hi Raj
Congratulations and nice to see your blog. Actually I started reading blogs on a daily basis only after seeing Nita’s blog. When I first posted a comment on her blog about eating Sakkarai pongal..you replied back immediately. I liked the way you present your opinions on all topics.
By best wishes and regards. Kallakunga thalaiva…

You live in one of the most interesting cities in the world!
May 21, 2008 at 10:42 am
Grazie mille, Radha!
Absolutely! Chennai has a flavour of its own, that cannot be matched by any other city I know. It is a surreal mix of the ancient and the future. Carnatic music, Bharathanattiyam, countless temples, a very important church(San Thome Basilica) and other places of worship and classical Tamil all co-exist harmoniously with ultra sophisticated yet realistic Tamil movies, the automobile industry and future technology!
My parents are not from Chennai but this is the only place I call home. The only thing I don’t like about my city is the weather- hot, hotter and hottest
May 21, 2008 at 12:14 pm
Hey wonderful blog! I am adding you on my blogroll
May 21, 2008 at 12:40 pm
Also here in HK is very very hot and difficult to bear. btw my b.natyam teacher studied there in kalakshetra. i am very passionate about this dance. will go and browse around here to see your topics, have a wonderful day!
May 21, 2008 at 5:25 pm
BubbleOnFire,
Thank you! You have a very cool blog too
—————————————————————————
Radha,
I guess a Mediterranean islander would find the tropics unbearable
And yes, Bharathanattiyam is fascinating and very graceful but not that easy to learn or perform
Avere una buona giornata

hello,
please tell me that out of ubuntu, fedora, mandriva, pclinux as per ur experiance, which one is good enough to work with.
June 30, 2008 at 9:34 am
Hello Atul,
I have not worked with Fedora or Mandriva, my friend. Ubuntu is simply fabulous! It is fully loaded, very easy-to-use and simply mind-blowing! Ubuntu is ideal if you want to make the switch to Linux from Windows. Please take a look at this post if you are interested:
Ooh . . . ooh . . . Ubuntu . . . Ubuntu . . . Ubuntu!
PCLinuxOS is good as well. It is quite simple and works well on older hardware. If you want an ultra-simple version of Linux, you can take a look at Damn Small Linux, but it does not have as many features as the other distros.
If you ask me to pick one, I would whole-heartedly recommend Ubuntu!

hi raj,
Your blog is so interesting with detailed explanations on the happenings around the world. But there are too many categories. I think If you make them fewer then it will be interesting.
I am blogrolling you as I can’t everything now
October 11, 2008 at 2:13 pm
T,
Thanks! Yes, let’s all work together for an open world!
Hi Kanagu,
Thank you and welcome to my blog!
I guess you are correct, friend. There are too many categories. I’ll try to reduce the number. Thanks for the useful suggestion!

I have just been reading your thoughts on the Sri Lankan situation in wordpress.
I am afraid I couldn’t finish your piece, the foul language was getting in the way of the meaning.
However, what was clear was that you are obviously filled with hatred.
I had previously found it very difficult to understand how an organisation like the LTTE can continue to kill and maim so many innocents, can recruit child soldiers with force, can bomb schools and hospitals. Then I read your outpourings at wordpress, and I can see how YOU would be perfectly capable of those sort of acts.
I am sure YOU could have broken into the home of those boys on Sunday night, and maimed and blinded them forever.
To be totally honest, I think this world would will be the better place when you leave it.

Sylvia,
I believe you are an Australian whose view of the genocide has been completely clouded by the clashes between the Sinhalese and Tamil Sri Lankans in your city, Sydney, and the “mainstream media” reports on the genocide. I don’t blame you, because the useless international media has played a passive part in this genocide without witness by the SinHELLa state.
In case you want some unbiased reporting, check out the daily UN reporting section of this site:
http://www.innercitypress.com/
I’m sorry that the foul language prevented you from reading the posts. My sincere apologies, Ms. Bennett!
However, the foul language was a natural outcome of my outrage at the heinous crimes being committed by the SinHELLa state with the support of world regimes.
You say: However, what was clear was that you are obviously filled with hatred.
YOU accuse me of being filled with hatred without even knowing me, and yet it was YOU who wrote:
To be totally honest, I think this world would will be the better place when you leave it.
Thanks for your honest comment and your hatred, Sylvia
It does not worry me in the least, as I’m quite aware that I cannot live forever and I have absolutely NO intention whatsoever of doing so. It makes no difference to me whether I die when I’m one hundred years old or the moment after I submit this comment.
You wrote: I am sure YOU could have broken into the home of those boys on Sunday night, and maimed and blinded them forever.
If you are referring to the terrible clashes and subsequent horrific attack in Sydney, you are quite mistaken. What happened in Sydney was terrible, disgusting, sickening and completely shocking!
If you believe that I’m capable of doing such a horrible thing, then I’m sorry to say that you are terribly mistaken, ma’am, since you have never met me and you haven’t gone through most of my posts, either.
However, your comment merely exposes the worthlessness of the Australian “mainstream media”. I believe YOU are not aware of the heinous, disgusting and horrible war crimes being perpetrated by the notorious SinHELLa state, like using WHITE PHOSPHORUS and CLUSTER BOMBS on little children. I find it ridiculous that you blame the LTTE of bombing schools and hospitals! Yes, the LTTE have indeed recruited child soldiers, but it is the filthy SinHELLa state that has bombed schools, hospitals and ambulances with CLUSTER BOMBS and used WHITE PHOSPHORUS on dying patients waiting for treatment and butchered journalists and Red Cross workers. Since you seem to be completely unaware of the heinous crimes of the SinHELLa state, do take a look at this:
http://www.warwithoutwitness.com/
To be totally honest, despite your obvious hatred for me (as can be seen from the last line of your first comment), I would like to see you post a reply to this comment.
